
The Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP, through its Foreigners and Border Control Unit, carried out an inspection operation on foreign citizens and control of nightlife venues between 11:30 p.m. on Friday and 2:30 a.m. today.
During this operation, “several nightlife establishments and similar venues were inspected, with 212 foreign citizens and 46 national citizens identified”, the PSP stated in a press release.
According to the statement, a report was filed and a weapon was seized on suspicion of being an illegal firearm. A notice for voluntary departure from the territory was issued, and a report was made to the Tax Authority (AT) concerning improper payments to security doormen.
The PSP also issued four infraction notices for smoking inside the Metro station.
This operation occurred without any incidents.
