The Public Security Police (PSP), through the Oeiras precinct, successfully recovered several silver items valued at approximately 20,000 euros, which were stolen from a residence in the municipality.
In a statement released on social media this Sunday, the authority stated that it received a report on June 1 detailing that, between May 26 and May 31, several items, notably silver tea service pieces from the 19th and 20th centuries valued at 20,000 euros, were stolen from the victim’s residence.
After investigations, the PSP found that a woman who was employed as a cleaner at the residence was the main suspect in committing the crime.
The items were discovered “already in a store that deals in such articles.” They were recovered by authorities and returned to the rightful owner.
