The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued a yellow weather warning for three districts, effective from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM today.
The yellow warning, which is the least severe on a three-tier scale, is announced when there’s a risk of adverse weather conditions affecting specific activities.
In mainland Portugal today, cloudy skies with periods of heavy rain showers, particularly in the southern regions where thunderstorms may occur in the afternoon, are anticipated by the IPMA.
Forecasters also expect light to moderate winds and a slight increase in temperature, especially in the northern and central regions.
Minimum temperatures are expected to fluctuate between 5 degrees Celsius in Guarda and 14 degrees in Faro, while maximum temperatures are projected to range from 14 degrees in Guarda to 22 degrees in Faro, Setúbal, and Santarém.
