The request by the socialists was approved today by the parliamentary committee on Foreign Affairs and Portuguese Communities with favorable votes from PS, PSD, and Liberal Initiative, while Chega voted against.
Bloco de Esquerda and PCP, which do not have permanent seats on the second committee, also submitted similar requests. However, these requests were not voted on as no deputies from those parties attended today’s meeting.
