The incident began “in the middle of the night” when the victim found “the suspect entering the bedroom where she was sleeping with her children, leaning over her and pointing a flashlight with the intention of having sexual relations.” “In an act of defense,” the woman pushed the suspect, the PSP stated in a communiqué sent to the editorial offices today.
After the unsuccessful attempt, “both moved to the living room to discuss the incident,” and “during the conversation, the suspect adopted an aggressive stance, uttering death threats.”
The Public Security Police further stressed in the same note that “this behavior is recurring” on the part of the suspect and that the victim “constantly fears for her physical integrity.”
“Upon the arrival of the police, the suspect was visibly intoxicated” and “began to utter death threats to the victim,” which led to his arrest.
He was presented at the Judicial Court of the District of Lisbon West – Amadora benches, where the measures of restraint included “keeping away from the victim” and “mandatory home stay.”
