Traffic on the A4 motorway was reopened in the Penafiel area at 12:30 PM after it was closed due to a vehicle fire, according to a spokesperson from Brisa Concessão Rodoviária.
A GNR source reported that the vehicle caught fire in a section undergoing construction, where lane narrowing required halting traffic in the Amarante/Porto direction.
The source added that traffic was interrupted between the A4 and A11 junction and the Penafiel Norte exit.
