
Compared to September, retail sales volume remained stable in both regions.
According to the EU statistics service, in a year-over-year comparison, the largest increases in the indicator were observed in Cyprus (9.9%), Bulgaria (7.4%), and Malta (6.2%), with the main declines recorded in Luxembourg (-0.8%), Austria (-0.6%), and Belgium (-0.1%).
In comparison with September, Luxembourg (3.6%), Estonia (1.7%), and Croatia (1.4%) showed the most significant growth, while Belgium (-1.3%), Austria (-0.6%), Ireland, and Sweden (-0.4% each) were at the opposite end of the scale.
In Portugal, the indicator increased by 4.3% year-over-year and 0.3% month-over-month in October.
