The National Union of Telecommunications and Audiovisual Workers (Sinttav) announced that a strike is scheduled for December 6th, 7th, 8th, and the 11th, which coincides with the general strike, as well as December 13th, 14th, and 15th.

Starting on December 20th, the strike will be continuous until January 5th.

“Employees will manage their participation in the strike according to the calendar that aligns with the prior notice of the strike issued by Sinttav and submitted legally to the Ministry of Labor and the companies Rhmais and Randstad, which provide services to Vodafone,” stated the union in the note.

Sinttav further explained that the strike aims to “defend the proposal of a grievance document”; however, as “time is not static and neither is the cost of living, the workers have decided to adjust some of the demands, especially concerning salaries, among other issues.”

The union will now “send a written communication to the companies, which will include the updated grievance document,” and “the workers will continue to await the outcome of this communication, prepared for further analysis and subsequent measures.”
