The information appears on the APA (Portuguese Environment Agency) website, stating that the ban on the “bathing water of Verim” has been in effect since Thursday, due to the presence of salmonella bacteria.
The Lusa news agency attempted to contact the APA and the mayor of Póvoa de Lanhoso, but as of now, it has not been possible to reach them.
