Rosalía unveiled her new album “Lux” in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Monday at the iconic Christ the Redeemer. The event featured a performance by Portuguese fado singer Carminho, who collaborated with Rosalía on the track “Memória”.
In an intimate setting, the singer gathered fans, guests, and the press.
During the presentation, Rosalía emphasized the significance of her collaboration with Carminho and the emotional influence the Portuguese singer had on the album: “Carminho was very generous with me. She brought something precious to my life: memory. And who are we without memory? I appreciate and admire her greatly. It meant a lot to me that she was part of ‘Lux’ and brought this precious song.”
The track “Memória” has been notably one of the most discussed from the new album.
“An illuminated night at Christ the Redeemer. Listening to the songs in this sacred and enchanting place was incredibly moving. Thank you for taking us to beautiful, inspiring places within ourselves,” Carminho wrote on social media, dedicating the message to Rosalía.
Musician Pedro Sampaio also attended the presentation and shared a series of photos on social media.

A week ago, Carminho held a series of concerts in Brazil, attended by prominent Brazilian artists. Fernanda Montenegro, Caetano Veloso, Moreno Veloso, and Marisa Monte were present to support the fado singer during her performance in Rio de Janeiro, where she presented her new album “Eu Vou Morrer de Amor ou Resistir”.
“Carminho’s show was very beautiful,” wrote Caetano Veloso on social media, sharing various photos of the meeting between the Portuguese singer and Brazilian stars.
Carminho herself admitted it was a night of “many emotions”.
“Rio, you have given me so much joy and still, your heart does not tire… Presenting my new album in the presence of my great references is a privilege, an honor, and a reason to celebrate! This night was full of emotions..,” she wrote.
The fado singer performed in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, with the support of prominent names in Brazilian music and beyond. Caetano Veloso, Fernanda Montenegro, Marisa Monte, and Moreno Veloso praised the Portuguese artist’s show and shared some photos of the moment on social media.
