
Two new appointments have been made to fill the board positions previously held by Delfim Sardo, who departed in May, and by Madalena Reis, who is now stepping down, while Nuno Vassallo e Silva remains as president.
The Ministry of Culture has announced that Rui Morais, transitioning from the Organismo de Produção Artística (Opart) — which manages the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, the Companhia Nacional de Bailado, and the Estúdios Victor Córdon — will assume the role at CCB on Wednesday, and Rita Romão will take office on the 24th.
Rui Morais, holding a law degree and with a music background, was a member of the board at Opart since September 2022, overseeing artistic, educational, special projects, communication, and marketing portfolios.
Rita Romão, who holds a degree in Economics and a master’s in Art History, will join CCB two years after leading marketing, projects, and partnerships at the EDP Foundation.
