Police raids conducted by the Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP) on Thursday, November 27, at the home of Fernando Madureira, also known as Macaco, and other members of the Super Dragões resulted in five individuals being named as defendants.
The PSP confirmed in a statement that it carried out “investigative steps in a case concerning the crime of robbery.” These incidents date back to September 2023, when the victims, two men aged between 30 and 35, “were assaulted in a coordinated effort” by suspects now named defendants, at the food court of the Alameda Shopping mall, near the Dragão stadium.
According to the PSP, during the assaults, the suspects also managed to seize personal belongings from the victims valued at approximately 160,000 euros, including a luxury watch, clothing items, and cash.
During the operation, the PSP executed 12 house search warrants in various areas of northern Portugal, particularly in the metropolitan area of Porto.
These searches resulted in the seizure of six mobile phones, clothing items, 10 membership cards of FCP, and a debit card.
Fraud Gone Wrong
Police authorities suspect that some members associated with the principal supporters’ group of Futebol Clube do Porto have defrauded several individuals by promising financial returns on investments. The operation allegedly failed, leading both parties to meet near the Dragão Stadium to resolve the issue. It was reportedly here, in the presence of Fernando Madureira, that the 15 suspects assaulted and robbed the victims.
The cases have been divided into two different investigations, one concerning the alleged fraud and the other dealing with the alleged assaults with robbery. Today’s searches are related solely to suspicions of bodily harm and robbery.
Meanwhile, on social media, Sandra Madureira, wife of the Super Dragões leader, reacted to the PSP searches at their home.
She shared an Instagram story with the caption “again, rice…” and advised in a short video for friends not to watch television as “it’s not worth it.” “I would like to tell my friends who are asking if everything is okay, I would just advise you not to watch television because it’s not worth it,” she can be heard saying.
The Super Dragões fan group supporting Futebol Clube do Porto (FCP) was founded in 1996 and is currently led by Fernando Madureira, who is in preventive custody as part of Operation Pretoriano.

The Polícia de Segurança Pública conducted raids on Thursday morning at the home of the Super Dragões leader and at the residences of other members of the Futebol Clube do Porto fan group. Sandra Madureira has already reacted to the operation.
