A collision between a light vehicle and a motorcycle resulted in one fatality and one serious injury early this afternoon on Adriano Lucas Street in Coimbra, according to the Civil Protection agency.
The accident, described as quite dramatic, occurred at 1:06 PM, as confirmed by the Coimbra Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command.
Initially, the only fatality was the motorcycle rider, whose death was confirmed on the scene by a Medical Emergency and Civil Protection Vehicle (VMER) team.
The seriously injured person, who was driving the car, was ejected from the vehicle and unfortunately passed away later in the afternoon in the emergency room of the HUC.
