Since the 13th of this month, the Territorial Command of the GNR in Bragança has registered seven reports of residential burglaries, according to Major Hernâni Martins.
Four of these burglaries occurred during the early hours of today.
Hernâni Martins further indicated that the crimes took place in homes not permanently occupied, such as those of emigrants.
The stolen items and the extent of the damage are still being assessed.
The burglaries all occurred in the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros, targeting several locations, including Bagueixe, Limãos, and Frieira.
The GNR is conducting an investigation.
