The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued a weather warning for the islands of Faial, Pico, São Jorge, Terceira, and Graciosa, effective from 20:00 (Lisbon time: 21:00) on Sunday until 11:00 on Monday.
For the Western group, comprising the islands of Flores and Corvo, the warning is in effect from 11:00 on Sunday until 05:00 on Monday.
A yellow warning signifies “potential danger,” indicating a meteorological situation that could become hazardous, though not posing immediate severe risks.
