The A4 motorway was closed to traffic at 7:30 AM in the Vila Real-Amarante direction due to a collision between two light vehicles, resulting in at least three injuries, one of them serious, as reported by Civil Protection.
The collision occurred in the Vila Real-Amarante direction, just after the Marão Tunnel, according to a source from the Douro Sub-Regional Command.
At 7:30 AM, 13 operatives were at the site with the support of five vehicles.
The A4, known as the Transmontana motorway, connects Matosinhos in the Porto district to Quintanilha in the Bragança district, continuing to the border with Spain.
