At approximately 9:21 AM (Lisbon time), silver was trading at $64.356 per ounce, marking a 1.25% increase from the previous day’s close.
Silver closed the previous session at $63.5586, also a record closing high, after rising 2.83% from the day before.
Having surged about 120% this year, silver continues to appreciate, driven by falling interest rates in the United States and the scarcity of the metal itself.
Silver is also used as an industrial metal, particularly in the photovoltaic industry, and in the production of electric vehicles.
