
An extensive drug trafficking investigation, ongoing for about eight months, led the National Republican Guard (GNR) to execute 13 search warrants, including 11 residential and two vehicle searches, in the parishes of Quelfes and Olhão.
In the course of the operation, the GNR seized 445 doses of cocaine, 381 doses of hashish, two doses of marijuana, 26.15 grams of cannabis heads, five canisters of nitrous oxide, and five digital scales.
Authorities also confiscated two shotguns, a firearm replica, a revolver, a homemade gun, a pistol, two air guns, one air rifle, 84 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, a hand grenade casing, an extendable baton, two balaclavas, and a hatchet.
The GNR also seized a watch, four electric scooters, two LCD screens, a sound speaker, three gaming consoles, various clothing and perfumes, two safes, 17 mobile phones, and €37,224 in cash.
The detainees will be brought before the Faro District Court for the imposition of coercive measures.
