According to data reviewed by Lusa at 10:30 PM on Sunday, the Gynecology and Obstetrics emergency department at Garcia de Orta Hospital in Almada (Setúbal) remains closed. This service was closed over the weekend.
In the district of Santarém, the Gynecology and Obstetrics Emergency Service of Hospital Doutor Manoel Constâncio in Abrantes is also closed.
The basic emergency service at Hospital Pedro Gonçalves Telmo in Peniche, Leiria, is likewise not operational.
According to the SNS, basic emergency service involves “general care, which includes the treatment of children, provided by a specialist in General and Family Medicine.”
Health authorities advise the public to contact SNS24 line (808 24 24 24) to receive proper guidance before heading to an emergency department.
