
According to a report from the Directorate-General for the Budget (DGO), effective expenditure reached 8.780,3 million euros, compared to 8.225,4 million euros in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Conversely, effective revenue amounted to 10.612,7 million euros, surpassing the 9.645,5 million euros recorded in the previous year.
In the first quarter of the year, noteworthy items included an additional contribution from the banking sector and an additional municipal property tax (IMI), both at 50%, along with the solidary supplement for the elderly, which saw a 37.1% increase.
On the other hand, certain exceptional and temporary COVID-19 measures, which have been gradually withdrawn, saw a decline of 88.4%. Similarly, the supplement for extraordinary support to children and young people fell by 94.3%.
