The application for the Special Education Subsidy can now be submitted online via the Social Security portal, as announced by the Institute of Social Security (ISS) on Monday.
“It is now possible to apply for the Special Education Subsidy through the Social Security Portal in a simple, fast way without the need to visit a Service Desk,” reads the statement released by the ISS.
What is the Special Education Subsidy?
According to the ISS, “this subsidy is a financial aid aimed at children and young people up to 24 years old with permanent disabilities and aims to compensate for the expenses incurred by attending establishments suitable for people with disabilities or individual support provided by specialized technicians.”
To apply, the ISS explains, “you should access the menu Family > Disability and Incapacity > Special Education Subsidy > Consult and apply for Special Education Subsidy and fill in the necessary information.”
“This new service allows you to register a request for individual support by a specialized technician, as well as for attendance at a special education institution. After registration, it is possible to track the status of the request,” the ISS further states.
Moreover: “Through the Portal, you can also request reimbursement of expenses for special education, making the payment process faster and more efficient.”
“This new functionality was developed to provide more convenience and efficiency, allowing you to focus on what really matters,” guarantees Social Security.
Social Security also states that it “continues to work to provide more digital services that simplify people’s lives and ensure greater speed in processing requests.”
Social Security announces “new feature for companies”
The Institute of Social Security (ISS) announced on Thursday via social media a “new feature for companies,” related to the consultation of the current account online.
“Companies can now consult all movements of their Current Account directly on the Social Security Portal,” reads the shared post.
What can be consulted?
According to Social Security, you can access “quickly, in detail, and 100% digitally to all movements registered from January 1, 2023,” including:
- Payments made
- Contributory obligations (statements and values)
- Account regularizations
- And other relevant movements.
Furthermore, “you can filter by year/month and export the results in PDF for easy archiving.”
To access the current account statement, follow these steps:
- In the main menu of the Social Security Portal, go to “Work”
- Select “Salaries and contributions”
- Click “Calculation of contributions.”
