With the final tally of the 12 parishes completed, the results reveal a victory for the Socialist Party (PS), securing 29.83% of the votes. The second most popular choice was the coalition of PSD/CDS-PP/PPM, with 29.26%.
The CDU (PCP-PEV), fielding the communist MEP João Oliveira, garnered 15.82% of the votes.
Carlos Zorrinho, elected president of the municipality of Évora, the district capital, will succeed the communist Carlos Pinto de Sá. Pinto de Sá served three consecutive terms since 2013, with the last one in a minority position.
