For the president of the Matosinhos City Council, the former secretary-general of the PS “has always shown a deep respect for the role of local authorities, valuing proximity to citizens and the importance of municipal public policies in promoting development, solidarity, and social justice.”
António José Seguro represents “the right choice for a President of the Republic who promotes a fairer, decentralized, and solidary Portugal, where local power is recognized as an essential pillar of democracy and progress,” she added.
“I believe that his political career, marked by seriousness, the ability to dialogue, and the unwavering defense of democratic values, constitutes an asset for the country,” argued Luísa Salgueiro, president of the board of the ANMP, based in Coimbra.
The presidential elections are scheduled for January 18, 2026.
