The spokesperson for the Socialist Party’s (PS) campaign in the legislative elections, Marcos Perestrello, has accused the Social Democratic Party (PSD) of orchestrating a “diversion tactic to draw attention away from the essential issues” concerning the clients of Spinumviva, the family business of Luís Montenegro.
“For the PSD, there seems to be an issue with the fact that Montenegro’s client list has been made public, but they see no problem with the fact that this list was kept hidden for a year. It is a pattern of opacity and lack of transparency. They concealed the list of companies just as they had hidden the bank accounts. What matters regarding these companies is when the contracts were made and the explanation for why, in the last year, some have experienced spikes in state-related business transactions reaching nearly 100 million euros,” stated Marcos Perestrello.
