The State recorded a public accounting surplus of 962 million euros up to April, an improvement of 1,657 million euros compared to the same period in 2022, the Finance Ministry announced today.
“General Government recorded a budget balance of 962 million euros up to April, on a public accounting basis, with an improvement of 1,657 million euros, explained by the increase in revenue (9.5%) greater than the increase in expenditure (3.6%),” says the ministry headed by Fernando Medina in a statement released today, in anticipation of the Summary of Budgetary Implementation of the General Budget Directorate (DGO).
In this result, says the Ministry of Finance, revenue is adjusted by the 3,018 million euros of transfer from the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Pension Fund (FPCGD) to Caixa Geral de Aposentações (CGA).
