“I booked a flight to Lisbon at the last minute as it has been raining for the last two months in the UK and I wanted to explore a photography-friendly city with a bit of sun. When I arrived, I was very happy to find Lisbon was a photography-friendly city, but it was also rain-free! The weather was perfect, sunny but not too hot.”

“My trip to Lisbon started with getting up early and ordering Chai vegan pancakes and a mocha from COMOBA. I regularly make pancakes myself back in the UK but these were on another level. They were fluffy and the vegan whipped cream was excellent. “

“After breakfast, I explored the city on foot. Photography is all about light and the sunny weather helped in capturing the detail of buildings. The buildings in Lisbon are beautiful with white and red brick which stand out well in the sun. Without a doubt, the best scenic view in Lisbon is at Jardim da Cerca da Graça as I was able to capture this stunning panorama shot. “

“Once I had captured the buildings of Lisbon, I wanted to capture the people of the city. I used a slow shutter speed to capture people walking a high street in Praca Do Comercio. The city is booming with performers, locals and people travelling, me included! Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world so history lovers will enjoy exploring this city.”

“My favourite thing I saw in Lisbon was the Ponte 25 de Abril bridge. The enormous structure brought me back to when I saw the Eiffel Tower for the first time. Only when you see the structure tower across every other building in the city can you comprehend its massive scale. I shot this photo using a self-timer on my iPhone so I was very chuffed to find the photo included a seagal flying in the distance. “

“To reward myself for completing over 28,000 steps in one day, I treated myself to a vegan gelato. I have been very impressed with how vegan-friendly Lisbon is. Since travelling in Lisbon I have thoroughly enjoyed photographing the city, enjoying the variety of food and most importantly taking in the sun. Lisbon is a photographer’s dream. “
