“It has been just over a month since its inception, and more than 2,000 calls with clinical psychologists and nurses trained in mental health have been attended,” stated the official, accompanying the Health Minister Ana Paula Martins during her parliamentary hearing on the review of the proposed State Budget for 2026 (OE2026).
The telephone line, accessible via the number 1411, commenced operations on September 10.
The service is integrated into the SNS 24 line, coordinating with the respective psychological counseling service, yet it operates fully autonomously with its own identity and number, under the coordination of the Shared Services of the Ministry of Health (SPMS).
All personal and clinical information provided by users will be handled with respect for confidentiality obligations, in accordance with data protection legislation, as specified in the regulations.
