Spring made its entrance this week as temperatures reached 24 degrees Celsius in some parts of the country on Friday. With the arrival of the warmer sun rays, the beaches along the Cascais coastline were filled with people eager to enjoy the pleasant weather.
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) had forecasted clear skies and a slight rise in temperatures, particularly in the southern region. These predictions proved accurate, prompting weather enthusiasts to flock to the beach, particularly in the Greater Lisbon area.
Most districts experienced temperatures equal to or exceeding 20 degrees, with some reaching a high of 24 degrees. However, it is expected that there will be a significant nighttime cooling.

It is important to note that despite the warm weather, the sea during this time is still in its winter state, characterized by strong currents and a high probability of rip currents, as has been previously warned by the National Maritime Authority.
