The Competition Authority (AdC) has announced receiving a prior notification of a business concentration operation on the 14th. This operation involves Supreme Fruits, Lda. acquiring exclusive control over a series of assets from Luís Vicente, S.A. and Nuvi Industrial, S.A.
Supreme Fruits, managed by the Jerónimo Martins group, is engaged in the production of mandarins, nectarines, peaches, and plums, including the processing and packaging of fruits. Jerónimo Martins operates in the sector of production, distribution, and sale of food and other consumer goods.
The assets acquired from Luís Vicente pertain to the importation, transformation, storage, and wholesale trade of fresh fruit, including trademarks, employees, and contracts.
Nuvi’s assets are involved in the preparation, peeling, and cutting of fruit products, along with their pre-dehydration, dehydration, post-dehydration, packaging, and commercialization. This acquisition includes purchasing respective contracts, employees, and equipment.
