
The trial is being conducted without public or media presence, due to the nature of the crime involving freedom and sexual self-determination.
The defendant is accused of aggravated rape and coercion, incidents that occurred in 2020 at the home of his mother-in-law in Macinhata do Vouga, Águeda municipality.
According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the rape took place on February 20, when only the defendant, the victim, and five minors were present in the residence, with the minors asleep in their room.
The investigation reveals that the defendant pulled the teenager into the bathroom, locked the door, assaulted her, tore off her clothes, and forced her to engage in sexual acts against her will.
The Public Prosecutor also states that the defendant instructed the victim not to disclose the incident, threatening to kill her if she did.
The verdict is scheduled to be delivered on December 9.
