“The investigation stems from alerts by international entities regarding the possession and sharing of content involving child pornography on internet platforms,” explains this criminal investigation force in a statement.
The Judiciary Police (PJ) adds that, during a home search, “it was possible to seize various digital contents that fall under the concept of ‘child pornography’ from the computer equipment used by the accused.”
The investigation continues “through additional forensic examinations of the seized equipment, aiming to determine the true extent and details of the criminal activity attributed to the accused.”
The detainee will be brought before an investigating judge for initial judicial questioning and the application of coercive measures.
