More than 2,000 doses of illegal drugs have been seized, according to the GNR.
The suspect’s arrest was the result of a criminal investigation by the Criminal Investigation Unit of Anadia’s Territorial Detachment within the GNR, following a year-long inquiry into drug trafficking in the Coimbra region.
The operation, conducted with the assistance of officers from the Intervention and Public Order Group of the Intervention Unit and the Aveiro Intervention Detachment of the GNR, executed two search warrants, one residential and another at a commercial establishment, alongside a detention warrant issued for a non-flagrant offense.
The GNR’s statement sent to Lusa disclosed that authorities seized 1,172 doses of hashish, 736 doses of crack (solidified cocaine crystals), 139 doses of cannabis, and 40 doses of cocaine. Additionally, 2,025 euros in cash and various tools used for cutting, measuring drugs, and homemade crack production were confiscated.
