A woman, aged 30, was arrested by the Public Security Police (PSP) on April 7 in São João da Talha, Loures, in Lisbon on suspicion of domestic violence.
As detailed in a statement released on Saturday, law enforcement officials were alerted to the scene due to reports of an individual who had been stabbed.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim “lying on the ground, conscious, with stab wounds to the back”.
At that point, the suspect arrived and admitted to committing the act, according to the statement.
The woman was subsequently arrested, and the victim received medical attention, resulting in hospitalization.
Following her arrest, the suspect appeared before the Judicial Authority and was remanded in custody.
