TAAG reaches agreement with Boeing to strengthen pilot training

The company highlights in a statement that the partnership will support both cadet pilots and experienced aviators in preparing for new aircraft in the fleet.

The agreement was reached during the Dubai Airshow 2025 and involves training focused on skill development, information management, and practice in multiple operational scenarios, including the integration of new aircraft.

According to TAAG, Boeing will provide experienced pilots to assist Angolan professionals in initial acceptance flights and in familiarizing with processes related to flight operations.

Boeing pilots will also aid the TAAG flight operations team with “practical instruction by monitoring initial flights and sharing knowledge to reinforce best practices in the safe and efficient management of new aircraft integrated into the fleet.”

The support also extends to flight operations teams to ensure a “smooth” transition in line with the safety standards required for operating the new Dreamliner fleet.

Last week, TAAG received its third Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the first 787-10 model to join Angola’s national airline fleet.

The new aircraft has a capacity of 367 passengers, adding to the two Boeing 787-9s already incorporated by the Angolan carrier this year.
