TAP Air Portugal is actively working to minimize disruptions caused, according to a statement released by the airline on social media.
The airline advises its passengers to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport.
“If the flight is confirmed, please check in online and proceed to the airport early, avoiding checked luggage,” TAP added.
Brussels International Airport announced today the cancellation of all scheduled departures for Monday, March 31, due to a general strike in Belgium. The airport also warned that some arrivals might be canceled as well.
The airport anticipates significant participation from ground and security staff in the strike, leading to an agreement with airlines to prevent any planes from taking off, as stated on its website, and advised passengers not to head to the terminals.
Airlines are expected to notify passengers about cancellations in the following days, as TAP has already done.
Brussels Airport also cautioned about potential disruptions to arrivals, recommending that travelers verify their flight status with the airlines.
