The first teaser for the trailer of the sequel to the film “The Devil Wears Prada,” starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep, is out and the film is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
20th Century Studios released the first teaser trailer on Wednesday for the iconic 2000s film, which celebrates its 20th anniversary next October.
Set to the tune of Madonna’s “Vogue,” the teaser begins with a 50-second clip focusing on Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) striding in her red shoes.
The scene shows Miranda Priestly entering an elevator and as the doors are about to close, Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) appears, and the two exchange a few words.
“Miranda,” Hathaway’s character says. Meryl Streep, playing Miranda, responds, “You’re late, huh?”
Familiar faces from the first film, including Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, will return.
The announcement of the sequel to the 2000s classic was made by Disney’s 20th Century Studios through an Instagram post in June, confirming that it is in production.
In the teaser released in June, viewers hear lines such as “Can you please spell Gabbana?” and “I refuse to be sick. I’m wearing Valentino, for crying out loud,” echoing the iconic dialogue from the first movie.

The film “The Devil Wears Prada” will have a sequel and is currently in production, confirmed Disney’s 20th Century Studios via an Instagram post. The feature film is expected to reach theaters on May 1, 2026.
