On Saturday night, around 21:45, a man and a woman, both in their 60s, were hit by “a speeding vehicle, according to all indications,” along the waterfront of that municipality in the Porto district.
The man, aged 65, succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the woman sustained minor leg injuries.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after striking the two individuals.
The Coimbrões Volunteer Firefighters, Valadares Volunteer Firefighters, PSP, and INEM responded to the incident.
