European, Asian, and American stock markets have experienced significant losses in recent days, amid growing concerns about the potential impact of tariffs on global trade.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday the imposition of a base global tariff of 10% on all countries he believes are creating trade barriers against American products. He also introduced an additional tariff for those he deems the “worst offenders.”
A 20% tariff will apply to all imports from the European Union, which adds to the existing 25% on the automotive, steel, and aluminum sectors.
