The GNR (National Republican Guard) arrested 471 people and detected 6,449 infractions in one week

The Republican National Guard (GNR) arrested 471 people in flagrante delicto and detected 6,449 traffic violations between August 9 and 15.

According to a report released this Saturday, the security force reveals that of the 471 arrests, 195 were for driving under the influence of alcohol, 125 for driving without a legal license, 46 for drug trafficking, 18 for illegal possession of weapons and prohibited weapons, 16 for domestic violence, and 12 for theft and robbery.

Additionally, 1,681.42 doses of hashish, 280,656 doses of marijuana, 182.35 doses of cocaine, 123.5 doses of MDMA, 52.2 doses of heroin, 45 MDMA tablets, 16 cannabis plants, eight amphetamine tablets, 364 rounds of various calibers, 28 bladed or prohibited weapons, 18 vehicles, 17 firearms, five explosives, and 3,264.35 euros in cash were seized.

Regarding traffic violations, 6,449 infractions were detected, including 1,845 cases of speeding, 744 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 691 for driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit, 279 for lack of or incorrect use of seat belts and/or child restraint systems, 228 related to anomalies in lighting and signaling systems, 227 for lack of civil liability insurance, 206 for improper use of mobile phones while driving, and 133 related to tachographs.
