The partial privatization of TAP will preserve the brand and employment in Portugal while continuing to serve as a central flight distribution hub, the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing assured during a parliamentary session discussing the State Budget proposal for 2026.
The minister emphasized that the privatization process of the airline is intended to be completely transparent and foolproof. Thus, each stage will be monitored and evaluated by a Special Monitoring Committee composed of individuals of impeccable reputation.
