Clara Pinto Correia, the renowned writer, has died at the age of 65. She was found dead in her home in Estremoz.
The news is confirmed by the website of the Presidency of the Republic, where Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has already sent a message to the “family, friends, and admirers” of the professor.
“Clara Pinto Correia combined a joy for life with an intelligence and brilliance that manifested in her oral and written contributions, her scientific teaching, and her communication with others. She never left anyone indifferent. Hence the shared sense of loss in this moment,” reads the note signed by the head of state.
