In the early hours of Wednesday, a burglary occurred in the village of Vale Prados, where a house was previously robbed, according to a police source.
The property was unoccupied, and the perpetrators are believed to have taken bottles of alcohol. The full extent of stolen items and damages is still under investigation.
The spree of break-ins began on November 17, with the Bragança Territorial Command of the GNR reporting 11 theft complaints. Ten of these incidents occurred in the Macedo de Cavaleiros municipality and one in the Bragança municipality. Additionally, there was a report of an attempted burglary and associated damages in Macedo de Cavaleiros.
The targeted homes are not permanently occupied and belong to emigrants or individuals working outside the Bragança district in other parts of the country.
The GNR is actively investigating and assessing the damages incurred.
