
The prices of fuels are expected to show mixed trends at the beginning of the coming week. Forecasts indicate a decline in the price of diesel and a slight increase in the price of gasoline.
The Automobile Club of Portugal (ACP) reports that the price of diesel is set to decrease by 1 cent, while gasoline will see an increase of 0.5 cents.
According to the Directorate General for Energy and Geology (DGEG), the average price per liter of diesel in Portugal was 1.509 euros last Friday (May 9), while that of gasoline was 1.662 euros.
“It’s also noteworthy that compared to October 1, 2024, current prices reflect a decrease of 3.1 cents in diesel and an increase of 0.3 cents in gasoline,” states the ACP.
Therefore, “if the forecasts for the next week are confirmed, the average price of simple diesel should settle at 1.499 €/l, while that of simple gasoline 95 could rise to 1.667 €/l.”
