Fuel prices in Portugal are expected to show mixed trends starting Monday. Projections suggest a decrease in diesel prices and a slight increase in gasoline prices.
Industry sources, as cited by the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP), indicate that the price of diesel will drop by 1 cent, while gasoline will rise by 0.5 cents.
According to Portugal’s Direção Geral de Energia e Geologia (DGEG), the average price for a liter of diesel was 1.509 euros on Friday, May 9, whereas gasoline was priced at 1.662 euros per liter.
The ACP notes, “It is still possible to observe that, compared to October 1, 2024, the current prices reflect a decrease of 3.1 cents for diesel and an increase of 0.3 cents for gasoline.”
Should these forecasts be confirmed next week, the average price of standard diesel is expected to settle at 1.499 euros per liter, while standard 95 gasoline could rise to 1.667 euros per liter.
