The newly appointed Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, will retain thirteen of the 17 ministers from the outgoing administration in the next government, which will be the XXV Constitutional Government consisting of 16 ministries, one less than its predecessor.
The XXV Government will feature six female ministers, accounting for 37.5% of the total, compared to a 41% female presence in the previous cabinet. The portfolios of Economy and Infrastructure will gain significance in this new structure.
Exiting from the previous administration are Pedro Duarte, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Pedro Reis, the Minister of Economy, Margarida Blasco, the Minister of Internal Administration, and Dalila Rodrigues, the Minister of Culture.
The inauguration of the new AD government will take place at 6 PM on Thursday.
