There is news, fans of The Beatles! ‘Anthology’ will be re-released this year

A new edition of The Beatles’ ‘Anthology Collection’ is set to release later this year, Paul McCartney announced. This edition will feature a new documentary episode, a fourth album with 13 previously unreleased tracks, and a book commemorating the 25th anniversary.

‘The Beatles Anthology’ is a documentary series featuring the band’s history with members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. The original series, which includes eight episodes and three albums, debuted in 1995, while the accompanying book was released in 2000.

The updated documentary will expand to nine parts and premiere on the streaming platform Disney+ on November 26. It will showcase previously unseen footage of McCartney, Harrison, and Starr from when they were working on the original series in 1994 and 1995.

John Lennon, who was tragically assassinated by a fan in December 1980, had already passed away by the 1990s.

British music producer Giles Martin, son of the original albums’ producer, has remastered the existing ‘Anthology’ albums. The new ‘Anthology 4’ album, set to release on November 21, will contain 36 tracks, including 13 new songs and demos.

This album will be available on vinyl, CD, and digital formats, featuring tracks such as ‘In My Life’, ‘Nowhere Man’, ‘If I Fell’, and ‘I’ve Just Seen a Face’. It will also include a rehearsal for a BBC broadcast of ‘All You Need Is Love’, as reported by Rolling Stone magazine.

The 368-page commemorative book will be released on October 14. Celebrating 25 years of ‘The Beatles Anthology Book’, it will contain over 1,300 photographs, documents, and memorabilia from the band’s archives.

Who are The Beatles?

The Beatles, a band from Liverpool, comprised four members: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. They quickly became a global music phenomenon, leading to a craze known as ‘Beatlemania’ in the mid-60s.

In the early 70s, the band disbanded, and each member pursued solo careers, releasing several albums.

In 1980, Lennon was shot and killed by fan Mark Chapman in New York, a few hours after signing an autograph for him.
