The government official, speaking at the Parliamentary Committee on State Reform and Local Power, stated that the reform savings are focused on freeing up “resources from the state and society to boost the economy.”
Gonçalo Matias further highlighted other savings resulting from the reform, notably the release of assets and the reduction of the hierarchical chain in state organizations.
The minister noted that there would be “savings in leadership,” as the reform will “reduce the hierarchical chain” within organizations.
Gonçalo Matias also mentioned that “tens of millions of euros” in assets will be released with the relocation of the Ministries to Campos XXI.
