The list of the top five most affordable municipalities is completed with Penacova in the Coimbra district (488 euros/m2), Sabugal in Guarda (488 euros/m2), Miranda do Corvo in Coimbra (513 euros/m2), and Pampilhosa da Serra in Coimbra (513 euros/m2).
Municipalities with prices equal to or lower than 650 euros per square meter also include Melgaço in Viana do Castelo (524 euros/m2); Crato in Portalegre (532 euros/m2); Vouzela in Viseu (600 euros/m2); Gouveia in Guarda (605 euros/m2); Santa Comba Dão in Viseu (609 euros/m2); Idanha-a-Nova in Castelo Branco (622 euros/m2); Fronteira in Portalegre (643 euros/m2); Sever do Vouga in Aveiro (648 euros/m2); Paredes de Coura in Viana do Castelo (650 euros/m2), and Mogadouro in Bragança (650 euros/m2).
Continuing the list, there are Alcanena in Santarém (660 euros/m2); Tábua in Coimbra (675 euros/m2); Seia in Guarda (679 euros/m2); Penela in Coimbra (701 euros/m2); Nelas in Viseu (706 euros/m2); Arganil in Coimbra (712 euros/m2); Campo Maior in Portalegre (718 euros/m2); Montalegre in Vila Real (727 euros/m2), and Fundão in Castelo Branco (730 euros/m2).
At the bottom of the ranking, Chamusca in Santarém has the square meter priced at 736 euros.

The analysis further highlights the five most exclusive locations for purchasing a house in Portugal:
“Lisbon leads the list where the square meter costs 5,769 euros, being the most expensive in the country. This is followed by Cascais (5,334 euros/m2), Grândola (4,654 euros/m2), Loulé (4,370 euros/m2), and Oeiras (4,276 euros/m2).”
