Two men, aged 19 and 21, were arrested by the Public Security Police (PSP) on October 26, suspected of committing forgery-related crimes.
The PSP stated that the “suspects attempted to board at Humberto Delgado Airport,” but when they presented their documents at the border control, officers “suspected the authenticity” of these documents.
“After various inquiries and submission for expert analysis, it was determined that the documents presented were false,” the statement read.
The two men were detained and made defendants after their preliminary hearing at the Lisbon District Court, with both placed under terms of identity and residence. The documents were seized.
