A 26-year-old woman was arrested by the Public Security Police (PSP) on Wednesday, October 1, in the city of Braga, for theft at a retail establishment, “followed by an attempted threat with a knife to an employee of the said establishment”.
In a statement, the security force explained they “immediately proceeded to the location,” where they learned “the suspect had stolen various items from the commercial establishment without making the corresponding payment and had fled moments later.”
Consequently, “she was pursued, and the suspect assaulted and threatened the employee with a knife.” “With the help of bystanders, she was restrained and handed over to the PSP.”
The detainee was brought before the Judiciary Authority yesterday.
